About the PTU Trust
The Peace Through Unity Trust (PTU) is a UN affiliate not-for-profit organisation based in Whanganui. It is operated by a global network of co-workers and friends who freely give their time and resources to further peace through unity initiatives. Founders
Anthony & Gita Brooke devoted their lives to promoting the mission of Peace Through Unity and assisting in the creation of a culture of peace between all living beings through education in its widest sense.
Te Rangi Homestead
Te Rangi was the Whanganui home of the last Raja Muda of Sarawak. Its former owners, Anthony and Gita Brooke, bequeathed the house to the PTU so that it could continue promoting initiatives that contribute to community well-being and peace.
Handspan
Handspan is the only public sculpture created by Whanganui potter, Ross Mitchell-Anyon. With initial support from the Arts Council of New Zealand, the sculpture project gained further traction after winning a design competition organised by Peace Through Unity.
